You will create a PowerPoint presentation detailing the life, reign, and monuments of a particular pharaoh of ancient Egypt. Use the project explanation and the rubric as guidelines to complete your presentation.

- Name(s) of pharaoh (Also include alternate names or spellings)
- Dates of rule (Distinguish birth and death from rule)
- Dynasty number (Also order--which number pharaoh of the dynasty?)

- Complete description of setting
- Capital city during that pharaoh’s reign
- Picture of cartouche of capital city and other locations associated with the pharaoh
- Maps of influence during reign (size of empire) should be included when possible

Career Summary
|
Solid summary of pharaoh’s accomplishments detailing 5 or more events. Include battles fought, palaces and monuments built, and social reforms or events during reign.

Outcomes
|
Complete, accurate description of how and why the pharaoh died and events surrounding his burial; information included about burial site and pictures of actual site or tomb

Student Evaluation
|
Evaluate the greatness of your pharaoh on a 1-10 scale. Be sure to give at least 3 reasons supporting why you rated your pharaoh as you did.

|
At least ten or more pictures of statues or reliefs of the pharaoh and monuments and/or tombs; must be accurate pictures

|
Try to be creative and original in your presentation; create more than a listing of facts.

Slide Design
|
Create clear, easy to understand slides that are not crowded. Use at least 24 font to be presentable. Do not use WordArt anywhere other than in the pharaoh‘s name or slide titles (if desired). Add graphics and animation to make the presentation interesting and active.

Web sites visited are listed on the last slide of the presentation alphabetically by the author or organization creating the site, the title of the site or page, then the web address.
