Haley Jones is the new District Rep. Haley Jones of Knoxville Jr. High is the new district representative of the Midwest District. Her jobs include attending board meetings, picking a theme for the year, and suggesting state service projects.

Total, the IAJHSC earned $3,200 for the 7,982,100 tabs brought in.

Since 2000 the IAJHSC has collected 58,905,335 tabs for $26,205.

Student Council Convention The student council just got back from the IAJHSC Student Council    Convention that was held in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield,     Illinois. There were caucus meetings, general sessions, inspirational   messages, and a presentation called “Commitment to Excellence.”     There were speakers like Mr. Small, the president of the IAJHSC, Mr. Cronkite, the Convention coordinator, Don Moffit, Deb Erickson, an inspirational speaker, and Becky “Beep” Prina, the Leadership Camp director for many years.

Time for Executive Board Elections Again!

The candidates for the 2007-2008 executive board election will give a speech to the whole school excluding the 8^th graders on Tuesday, May 22^nd. The actual elections will be the following day, during first hour, Wednesday, May 23^rd. The chosen executive board members will have to write the minutes for the meetings, lead the meetings, and show leadership skills throughout the year.
